Organization: Linen Closet

The Linen closet in this house is located on the first floor.  It is next to the main bathroom, kitchen, living and dining rooms.  This space is the "catch all" closet.  Towels, sheets, meds, cleaning supplies...just all the junk you can imagine.  The reason why constant clutter never stops is because the space does not have a reason to be. It does not have its own purpose.

Fanatiqueof took care of the clutter and organized this closet by following these simple steps:
Step 1- Make a list of EVERYTHING that is in the space.
Step 2- Write down Buckets aka Categories. Each must be on separate pieces of paper.  For example: Hair- Brushes, clips, headbands...or Meds- For a cold, for allergies....etc Leave a piece of paper with items that you feel cannot meet any of the categories identified. This list means that the items should find another home and cannot be in the space anymore.
Step 3- Now it's time to take action. Follow each sheet of paper one a time. At first, it might feel overwhelming. You will want to toss everything and go to the store to buy all new stuff.  However, if you make sure to follow your action plan....your sheets that is...you will remain motivated and finish the job.
