I Added Tobi Trendy Dresses to My Wardrobe
I recently collaborated with Tobi. *I was not financially compensated for this post. I received all my samples for review purposes. The opinions are completely my own based on my experience.*
I've said it before and I will say it again. I was never a fashion lover type of girl. In fact, I used to get mocked by friends and family for my wardrobe in high school all the way to College. Honestly the shift for me happened a little over 5 years when I started paying more attention to what I like to wear and hence resulted in me starting my blog. Years ago, I would never be confident to style, take pictures of myself and present clothing to the public.
When Tobi and I connected I was a little skeptical taking the challenge. Why? well, simply because I look nothing like their models on their site. I had 2 C-sections remember? My belly is no longer flat with a belly button ring like it was 15 years ago.
I have a chest...a pretty decent one. But I am a risk taker. So I decided to take the plunge and really comb through the site as if I had no other option. I mean let's be honest, what girl would not want to have the opportunity to freely select a handful of cute garments. I know I was not going to let that one pass.
So in my mind I knew I wanted something that had one or all of the below:
- I can wear a bra!
- Lightweight ...because it's summer
Certainly simple and lightweight, the Tobi Maverick Blue Chambray Shift Dress is perfect for summer. I love that it has the pockets. The frayed bottom hem detail makes this dress super trendy. I styled mine with strap heels but I can totally see me wear this dress with a pair of cute sneakers. Best of all, I you can wear a bra! Shop it HERE.
100% on Trend. Off the shoulder and sleeve tie details, I selected the Mary Mauve dress just for that. Wait, and also the color! Lightweight, super easy to style, I can see this dress as a brunch outfit with some cute heels or styled casually like I did with gladiator sandals. Wear it to the beach as a matter of fact! A strapless bra is perfect for this dress by the way. Shop it HERE
When in doubt wear black right? I believe that every girl should have at least 1 if not 2 classic, simple black dresses. The Margot Black Maxi dress caught my eye for a couple of reasons. First, let's state the obvious, it's black. Second, you can totally wear a bra and third, the geo design details makes this so tasteful and romantic. I personally love the slits. Let them legs show off themselves ladies! Shop it HERE
All of these gorgeous pictures were captured by photographer, singer and dancer Anastasia. Check out her website HERE and Follow her on Instagram HERE. We both worked so hard that day but had a load of fun. Here's a behind the scenes of our shoot in NYC. My dressing room was my car! Listen, you have to make it work right!?
If you decided to purchase one of these dresses, please share with me your experience. I would love to hear it or just drop me a comment!
